Help me to look after the homeless LGBTQ members

Hello everyone,

I am Kaganda Derrick, 23 years, a citizen of Uganda am and I have a shelter consisting of 7 LGBTQI members with an average age of 17 years.

These came for help as a result of domestic violence and family neglects due to their sexual orientations. 2 of them came beaten by homophobes in the places they initially stayed. I gave them shelter so they are now safe, happy and proud of their sexual orientations.

As COVID-19 came in, there came a period of struggle as the lockdown persisted in Uganda whereby we became unable to work to sustain our shelter, funding became very hard for us as the demands continued to rise day by day.

The major purposes of this fundraise is the urgent need to get some help to pay the rent, food purchase, water and electricity bills and other related basic necessities needed by the shelter.

As of now 16/10/2021, the rent that we had in advance is getting used on 30/10/2021 and we have nowhere to get the money urgently and so food is getting over anytime.
