The Journey of a CKD 5 Patient

Good Day! I am Joan Rafaela P. Angara a citizen of Philippines. I am graduated from Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration at the University of the Philippines with 82 units in Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the Far Easter University, Philippines. I am a natural born artist with inclination to visual arts, constructive arts and photography.

Unfortunately, I've got afflicted with chronic kidney disease in 2010. It progressed, and in 2018, my situation got worse. Now I’m at the end stage. At this moment, I have been considered unfit to work. And I can feel, and it is also obvious that I have gone weaker compared to the previous days.

My father passed away on May 17, 1997 due to myocardial infarction while my mother died of heart failure on September 15, 1998. When she died I was left with my youngest brother who was only 8 years old.

Right now, I am so anxious realizing that my savings is gone. I am financially drained but I'm in dire need to sustain my medications (injections to maintain good hemoglobin level, and maintenance medicines); medical procedures like hemodialysis, monthly laboratory testings, surgeries if necessary.
