Double R Drive- to help support a girl child stay in school

Good day to you all, My names are Sampa Margaret  Lengalenga from Zambia, am a keen philanthropist. I am very passionate about gender equity , I would like to one day see a world where women get equal opportunities as men that’s why am working on a campaign to help keep the girl child in school against all odds, each one help one is our goal.The project to empower young girls and women from distressed homes is themed as DRD ( Double R Drive) This is Reusable and recyclable under a headline not all waste is waste . Of the 2030 SDG’s we can safely say we support the following; 1. No poverty , 2 .Zero  Hunger, 5. Gender Equality 6. Clean Water and 17. Partnerships for the goals .Young girls and women in the rural areas are very disadvantaged  in so many aspects, their place is just in the kitchen and don’t have much say . We would love to see all the young girls get educated and not be married off at an early age as is the norm and to attain this we would have to empower them as poverty is the root cause of such vices. Also some of the girls miss class when they're on their menses so we have come up with a solution of sewing reusable pads for them from a material commonly known as a chitenge almost every woman in Zambia owns atleast one so we can just have them cut small pieces from it for that . We would use with support of about USD 800.00 to help us purchase some sewing machines , grinding machine, stationed bins and glass crusher  . With this we would boast our fundraiser ., the aim is to one day build a skills training hub from the sales we make from the items that we are working on.The women can make baskets, handbags, face masks , reusable pads, fans, hats and  also other various items made from recycled plastic bottles that are collected from various points.We have embarked on a campaign where we place bins that have the trash separated e.g bins for just plastic, paper , bottles,clothes and the other food stuffs. From this we mainly use plastics, paper and glass.At the moment we meet up from different places to make these items , all the women have different skills and we all learn from each other, in the near future we hope to build a skills training hub where we can have women and youths come to learn different skills that can empower them .When they are empowered they are no longer vulnerable and are able to provide for their families this has helped in reducing the number of girls being married off at a tender age as low as 13years .Any form of support is very welcome and will be highly appreciated as we attain to achieve the goal of educating our girls .
