CREATION OF EXTRA INCOME FOR NURSES IN UGANDA

Greetings from Uganda. 

Am Agnes Nagayi, a senior statistician, working with the Ministry of Health, Uganda. I have worked here for more than 4 years.

In my every day work, I encounter Nurses who always complain about low pay/salaries. Nurses get a monthly salary of US $170 which can not sustain themselves for the whole month and thus causing frequent strikes for salary increments. In addition, Nurses do most of the work in health facilities in Uganda.

In that spirit, I and a group of few nurses have come up with a project "making disinfecting Liquid Soap" as an alternative source of income and also contribute to reduction of strikes. 

We need support of US$1300 for start up capital  to buy materials used for making disinfectant liquid soap like caustic soda , Ungalo, Colour, Perfume preservatives, Salt, Gloves, Jags, Buckets, Mingling stick, Jerry cans among others.  These will be used to make 150 litres of soap to be sold the health facilities.
