Indonesia Welcomes 2020 with Heavy Rains

At the start of this year, Airfunding had raised funds for displaced residents due to heavy rains that caused major flood all over Indonesia the night of New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2019. Donations were used to purchase clean water and food for residents while they wait out for their homes to be rebuilt.

However, more torrential rain had arrived just in the last week of February 2020 – paralyzing wide areas and families evacuated before things get worse. Affected areas are in Jakarta, Karawang and Bekasi Regencies of West Java, and South Tangerang Regency of Banten. With this latest disaster occurrence, Indonesia has now 1.4 million people temporarily displaced and in dire need of daily living supplies.

With these continuous devastating occurrences in Indonesia, Airfunding is pledging again to donate emergency relief aid such as:

• Hot meals

• Clean water

• Solar lights

• Medication

• Inflatable Boats

Donations sent in thru this Airfunding project will be directly donated to Mercy Relief, an organization established in 2003 to respond to human tragedies and disasters all over Asia Pacific.
