EXTEND MY FATHER'S LIFE -- TOTAL LARYNGECTOMY

Hi everyone,

I am Samantha Joy Flores, 30, a private school teacher from Pulilan, Bulacan, Philippines.

My Father suffers from Larynx Cancer

Last October 2019, my father, Joselito Pantaleon Flores, 57, was diagnosed of Cancer of the Larynx.

It was really hard for him to breathe because a large mass was blocking his airways. With this, his doctor advised him to undergone a procedure called tracheostomy.

We are overwhelmed by the medical cost

He was hesitant at first and neglected his doctor's advise. He was confined for almost five days with the hospital bill of PHP 67,000 or $1,350 USD.

In the last week of November 2019, he was totally unable to breathe and almost dying. He had left with no choice but to undergo tracheotomy for PHP 110,000 or $2,200 USD.

In the first week of December 2019, he was found unconscious in his room, he was almost dead. He was rushed to the hospital and was comatose. He stayed in the ICU for three days and miraculously go back to life. The family paid more than PHP 100,000 or $2,000 USD for his hospital stay.

On March 5, 2020, he finally had undergone TOTAL LARYNGECTOMY at University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center.

After my father had already undergone Total Laryngectomy, he is now in the healing process. We knew from the very start that we can't finance the surgery, but we have to take risks because the large mass in the neck of our father had already occupied his airways which makes him difficult to breathe.

After a series of hospitalization an surgery, our family had lost the funding resources to pay for his future medical needs and supplies.

With this, in behalf of my father and the rest of my family, I would like to appeal to your good hearts to please help us to surpass this array of predicaments.
