Dear everyone,

I'm Mario Ernesto Chicas. I'm 31 and I make a living as a hair stylist, at Ciudad Arce, La Libertad, El Savador.

Beside of being a hair stylist I'm also one of three founders of a dog shelter. And I am the treasurer of the association managing the dog shelter.

MI JARDIN DE PELUDOS Association

The Asociation was legally founded on March 17, 2017. Our shelter rescues and provides a temporary and permanent home for homeless dogs that are in critical situations due to traffic accidents, extreme malnutrition or becoming the victims of human cruelty. Javier and Mario, the founders, rescued, gave attention and care to the 200+ puppies, in addition to maintaining the facilities.

Be the best responsible human for animal refugees

Our goal is to provide every dog, veterinary care, rehabilitation, human warmth, food, water, a safe home, and space to run. 98% of our dogs are given their first name, and the opportunity for adoption. We ensure to maintain the facilities to be the best "forever home" for the dogs in case no one would adopt them.

We need huge amount of dog food

Our biggest challenge is to feed 192 dogs currently refugees, rescued from the streets. The total demand is 1,200 pounds of food per month, with a cost of $2,500 only in food, so we seek sponsorship to cover that demand and thus have the ability to help more dogs in situations of neglect and abuse.
