Save a Heart...Save Life....Happy Life

I am Christeline Balante. I am a college teacher. I live here in Matina Davao City.

The wife of my cousin, Anna Mae A. de Guzman was diagnosed with VALVULAR HEART DISEASE with SEVERE MITRAL REGURGITATION last December 17, 2019.

She is experiencing shortness of breath specially with exertion or when lying down thus she cannot sleep flat on bed. She easily gets tired and feels dizzy, and also experiences heart palpitations. As of this time, she is also having maintenance medications to control her blood pressure.

Help us to undergo an open heart surgery

The doctors said that the only cure is to replace the valve of her heart through OPEN HEART SURGERY which will cost 800,000 to 1 Million Philippine peso. The huge amount we couldn't afford.

Anna Mae is a mother of three children (13, 9 and 6 years old). She is currently employed in a private company but because of her health condition, she decided to go on indefinite leave until she recovers. Her husband is working as a freelance programmer. The family now is facing financial difficulties to raise the amount needed for her to undergo the operation.

Update

Anna Mae was operated last March 11/20/19. The procedure done was a repair of the mitral valve. She was discharged from the hospital last week of March.

She is now in their house and she visits the hospital twice a week for blood monitoring and for her physical therapy.
