La Mort - A past, a now and a tomorrow

Unum corpus, a contemporary dance company, has the goal of bringing to the stage something that we recently suffered as humanity through its work "La Mort - A past, a now and a tomorrow".

How to die? How do we people who still remain in this world experience death? Two different moments exist about death.

La mort is a choreographic piece that is made up of two dimensions, which speak from two different angles of the same event, death. On the one hand, it goes through the irony of the event that landed in the COVID-19 pandemic and on the other, the emptiness and pain that it leaves behind.

We would like to remind the viewer that death is a natural phenomena that can occur in different circumstances and whose time is totally unknown to each person, that if you experience a moment of mourning or if you remember one that has already lived, you realize that pain is something natural in life and in what that we all accompany each other at some point, not lessening their own processes of loss but accepting pain and suffering as something human that we need to experience at some point in life to grow as people.

Unum corpus and the The cast of this work is made up of people who have suffered personal losses and economic casualties during the coronavirus pandemic. Artists who seek to start and make an impact with people who have also gone through it, unfortunately we do not have enough resources to finish the assembly of the work as well as sustain our artistic work.

We already had a function with a preview of the content of the work where we share moments of tears on and off stage, both audience and artists. Now we seek to complete the work done and this support would give us the opportunity to have the costumes, scenery and resources both for food and for travel from our homes to rehearsals and/or theater.
