We want to build a better place for our children

We are a group of people who came together to help children from a community located in the city of Presidente Franco in the department of Alto Paraná in Paraguay, with the idea of ​​setting up a community dining room and being able to give the children a balanced diet. of the community.

The Acacia Dining Room

We presented our idea to the Acacia Foundation, which decided to support our cause, thus the Acacia Dining Room was born, and with the joint work with the foundation since October 2021, we managed to feed an average of 60 to 70 children between the ages of 2 and 16 thanks to food donations from different sectors of society with the support of the foundation.

The goal is to become an Integral Development Center

The medium-term objective of the dining room is to become a Center for Integral Development, where in addition to lunch, we can help the community in other areas of need such as pediatric health, psychology, also in the educational area and others. p>

Today we need to face various obstacles that arise as our dining room grows

Currently we are able to feed approximately 60 children on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. For this reason, another short-term goal is to feed 150 children daily.

To continue with this cause and achieve our goals for the future of the children and the community today we need to face several obstacles that arise as our soup kitchen grows, one of them is that because in this region We enter a season (Autumn) where the rains are constant, sometimes that prevents us from meeting the objectives of the day, which is to feed the children, since the dining room facilities are precarious, and too small to accommodate all the children in the rainy days, we have no connection or direct access to drinking water. The food that is served in the dining room is cooked in another place a few kilometers from the dining room in the house of one of the volunteers since the dining room still lacks basic structure to be able to cook in the place and this is complicated on days of rain since the location of the dining room on those days is not easily accessible.

We need an important monetary collaboration to be able to build a basic infrastructure

We need an important monetary collaboration to be able to build a basic infrastructure to be able to house several children, have access to drinking water, and be able to build a kitchen inside the dining room, winter is coming and we do not want to let the cold prevent The project continues, with the support that we manage to get here, we will be able to continue feeding the children under a cozy roof during this coming winter, the funds that are raised will be of great help to achieve this short-term objective.

The funds raised will be administered by the Acacia Foundation in order to achieve the objectives of the dining room effectively and efficiently
