I'm Lemeh Chinyere and I live in Aba, Nigeria!
I'm a teacher, and my biggest dream is to be able to open my own school for children in a bad economic situation!
Many children can't go to school
I really love my profession since many years ago.
My dream since I was in college was to become a teacher, and I made that dream come true. However, it's hard to see how many children in this country can't go to school.
I would like to open a school where everyone can get a chance to study.
I've been working hard to save money
I've this dream since 2006, after completing my mandatory one year National Youth Service Corps.
Since then, I've been working hard to save some money, to try to find some people who wanted to collaborate with my idea... But it's difficult and frustrating.
I've been also trying to find sponsors, but no luck so far.
Achieving my dream was becoming like a nightmare to me. It seemed nothing was working out. Finance is my biggest challenge, due to my low salary and family responsibilities.
Ideal school
By making this dream come true, I think many people will get benefits.
First, unpriviledged children will find a safe place to study. l will not only educate those children but inculcate them good moral and love.
Second, I will create employment in my community, as I will hire staff as soon as I'm able to.
Details on needed funds
I would like to raise $1,400 (plus my savings) to be able to find a place and get started!
Schedule
I would like to start on January of 2020.
Everything I collect will be used for this dream. It will take me more or less time, but I'm totally comitted to it and I don't want to give up.
If I'm able to open my school, I will also try to start advertising and admitting students as soon as possible.
In case I can't collect enough funds, I will try to ask genuine people for assistance and talk to some NGO for help. I will never give up on my dream. l will keep trying until I get there. I hope you can collaborate too!
