I want to erect a security fence around youth centre.

Hello,

My name is Fano NGCOBO, resident in Capetown, South Africa.

I look for every kind hearted person to support my project for Youth Resource Centre Renovation.

We would like to set up a security fence around the youth center.

As a person who is in the development space of township youth in particular, my mission is to ensure that our young people, who often are the product of the imaginalized system of the historical past, become successful in the attainment of their dream and vision.

We have been allocated a site to use (something we have been eyeing for a number of years since the establishment of the organization) for a place of youth gathering.

The centre urgently needs to be secured with a fence as it is quite a big site and with a 12m steel container standing already which is a gift to us to utilize by the local leadership in support of the initiative.

The safety of the children is our concern

We would have loved to be living in an environment free of crime and other social pressures. However, it is not the case in the communities we work.

The short-term goal is to add a few more 12m converted steel containers on the site with a view to extending the program of young people.

Youth library, an activity block, computer block, a music block and an ablution block - are the short-term goals as we extend the services. These resources require an honest security management system in place.

The organization is currently not in a position to generate funds but depends on the generous individual sponsorship.

We need about US $800

The total funds needed for this project is R15.000 ($800.00) estimate. Breakdown is explained below :

1. $500 goes to purchasing the fence.

2. $150 goes to purchasing of windows of the existing 12mt steel container.

3. $120.00 for purchase of new doors for the already existing 12m container.

To summarize, The biggest chunk of money from this fundraising will purchase the fence rolls needed to cover the work of fencing. The remaining will go into the fixing of the entrance security door and the two sets of windows.
