Make come true, the dream of a young woman with cerebral palsy

Dear all!

My name is Viviana Gabriele, I live in the De La Costa region, and I dedicate myself working in an NGO for adults with disabilities.

Let's help Karen

One of my NGO participant is Karen. She was born with ECNE condition, a disease that we know as cerebral palsy.

She is 29 years old and her whole life depends exclusively to her parents who are at senior ages and naturally not physically active.

Her financial situation is very weak and she cannot indulge herself or access basic things like most of us. For example, her family could not help her to go to our workshop (we had to pick her up, because her father's car was in poor condition that won't pass the police controls) or she could not able to get out of bed by herself.

Karen dreams a trip with her best friend

Karen cannot speak either. She communicate using a paper printed with letters of alphabet, touching letter by letter with her fist with great effort, to express herself. Later she started using Whatsapp on her mother's cell phone, which she writes using her nose.

She wrote me that she wanted a vacation without her family, that she would like to go somewhere where with her best friend, Cecilia, whom she hasn't seen for years. She has cerebral palsy like Karen, and also on a wheelchair. And she also wrote, "I know it is impossible".

I would love to show her that nothing is impossible, that her dream could come true. Off course, with no doubt, after the world overcome the COVID-19 crisis.

Our plan

We need 1,500 dollars to pay for their accommodation at some beautiful place within our country, Argentina. The amount would also cover fees of a therapeutic companion (or two) chosen by them, so that they will get full assistance.

Also, with that money, we can make sure their meals and excursions are covered.

Micro tickets, based on Argentine law, are free for people with disabilities. So that would be also covered. Unless the amount raised are big enough for an airplane trip!
