A fundraising for my sister joanne faye medical expenses

Hi everyone,

I am Francis Jay Enriquez, the brother of Joanne Faye Enriquez from the Philippines. I'm a nurse by profession and currently residing in Sablayan, occidental Mindoro. This is us when she was fine.

Joanne's First Encounter with Illness, 5 days ago

Last March 23, 2020 we rushed my sister Joanne Faye Enriquez to VRP Medical Center in Mandaluyong City. With a complaint of fever, body weakness and body pains. Several test were done and the initial diagnosis is severe chronic anemia and myocarditis.

Due to unavailability of hospital facility and equipment, they advised us for an hospital transfer. We look for several hospitals only to be rejected because of full accommodation. Luckily we are accepted to St. Lukes Medical Center Global City and was admitted right away.

Multiple Diagnoses upon Admission

Even if we don't have enough fund for this hospital we still fight and push the admission for my sister's life whose been deteriorating at that moment. Up to today, my sister is confined in St. Lukes medical center.

The diagnosis upon admission after all those diagnostic test and examination were: Chronic Kidney Disease, Uremia, Congestive Heart Failure, Severe Chronic Anemia, and Community Acquired Pneumonia (moderate risk, secondary to COVID-19).

As the result of these illnesses, my sister had to undergo 5x blood transfusion, antibiotic treatment and hemodialysis for 3x a week. With these challenges and procedures, our hospital bills continue to increase, putting us on our threshold.

Per 03/28/2020 our bill reached PHP 681,266.45 or $13,500 USD.
