REHABILITATION OF FORIFORI HEALTH CENTRE

Hello everyone,

Forifori is a rural farming community in the Afram Plains of the Eastern Region of Ghana. The major occupation of the people is peasant farming and petty trading. Forifori community is faced with a lot of challenges in health, education, water and sanitation which need an urgent attention to bring a relief to the poor people living in this community.

Health related dangers in Forifori community due to the poor state of the health centre

The current pressing need that needs a swift attention is the collapsing state of the only health centre in the community serving a population of over 3,000 indigenes and many villages surrounding the Forifori township as it is serving as a major referral point before moving a patient to the only district hospital which is also mostly receiving over numbering its capacity.

Due to the poor state of the health centre, healthcare delivery is compromise and many of the indigenes has resorted to traditional treatment methods and self medication which in turn cause major health implications and worsen the income status of the already poverty driven homes. As result, there is an increasing rate of maternal mortalities and prevalence of other health related dangers in the community.

REQUEST FOR SUPPORT IN REHABILITATION AND SUPPLY OF ESSENTIAL MEDICAL EQUIPMENT.

Forifori Health Centre is therefore, seeking for your support to undertake major face-lifting or rehabilitations and supply of essential medical equipment to the health centre. Major areas of concerns are; rehabilitation of the Out-Patient Department, Maternity Block, Male and Female wards, Toilet and beautification of the compound.
