New Sustainable Refrigerator for Africa's Poorest Community

Hi everyone,

I am AMIRA, 22 years old and I live in Kénitra in Morocco. I am studying in one of the Engineering School in Rabat. I am the business manager of the Freedge project.

We are a team made up of 12 engineering students who aim to be the agents of change that local communities need. We are all Moroccan. We live in Africa, the hottest continent in the world and which suffers the most from the challenges of global warming.

The Freedge project

We were shocked when we found that 45% of African agricultural crops rot even before they reach the consumer due to lack of packaging, or when we faced the sad reality that 470 MILLION Africans have no access to refrigeration.

We therefore had to face this situation. And for this reason, we launched the Freedge project, an alternative to the various existing refrigeration methods. Freedge is a refrigeration system that uses no electricity. It only needs water and sunlight to operate, thereby preserving food for a longer period of time.

Support our solution for a better future in Africa

Our solution will help a large population. And for this reason, we seek help from the worldwide community of Airfunding to help us and to support our project in order to bring forward together a sustainable and efficient refrigeration system to as many Africans as possible.

Through your funds, we will have enough resource to travel to many countries to duplicate the Freedge project and thus make huge impact and change toward a better life.
