I want to study in University so I can keep working!

Hello! My name is Theophilus Amo and I'm from Accra, Ghana!

I need to study in University so I can improve myself at work!

I haven't graduate, so I could lose my job

Currently, I'm working for TV Africa as a technician, camera operetor, maintenance... My field requires deep knowledge about Information Technology.

Recently, only graduates are being hired in my company. I'm afraid that if I don't graduate too I won't be able to keep my job.

Nowadays, technology is advancing, so study in University will help me to upgrade myself to fit the IT market across all fields.

Going through mature access Entrance exams

Last year, I was able to pass the entrance examination for adults.

I just need the funds to pay the entrance and school fee. I want to study in Ghana Technology University College, that is near from my home so I won't need to pay an extra accommodation.

It's a 4 years degree, so if I do my best I will graduate in 2022!

Difficulties to save money

My monthly income is around $100.

My family's situation is not favorable, so they can't help me. My mum is very old and my dad passed away a while ago.

I have 5 siblings who live in the countryside. They have their own families and their economic situation is worse than mine.

In order to pay the tuition fee I approached my bank to ask for a loan, but they said I'm not qualified because my monthly income is less than they require.

Details on needed funds

I've in total $500 I saved with a lot of effort, so I just need another $500 to be able to pay the entrance fee on time!

Schedule

As soon as I collect enough funds I will pay the entrance fee. The semester has already begun but I've talked to the University to be able to join in October.

If I can't do it on time I will try to ask the University to extend my deadline.

Once I graduate I would like to keep gaining experience and make my own business, which is not decided yet. I know that if I manage to go to college a brilliant future will be waiting for me.
