I'm Ledys Calvo, by profession an Industrial Engineer and I have two children, a 3-month-old baby and a 2-year-old and I am from Peru

I make a living producing food, specifically empanadas, which I offer frozen for frying or baking. My audience is housewives, students and women who own their own businesses.

My enterpreneur business journey

I am an entrepreneurial mother my brothers and partner we are engineers in different branches that we are very involved with this project.

We are industrial engineers dedicated to the production of different types of dough but mainly of empanadas, pastas and pizzas. Our mission is to deliver these ready-to-fill and cook doughs to businesses and serve on their premises. we want to empower women mainly single mothers who, although they are low in economic resources, want to undertake and need this support of quality products, as well as advice of follow-up that we offer on how to do business to make things a little easier for them to achieve much more than they have done without help

I started making the dough by stretching it with a roller which to make 100 discs and the filling and cooking it took me about 12 hours of work and then going to sell it took me about 4 hours.

Then I was able to obtain a Brazilian laminator, for domestic use with which I could increase production but not enough to meet the needs of my clients and forcing the equipment the motor burned, it was repaired but with the warning not to exceed its capacity again because it is not for industrial use.

A laminator for industrial use is necessary

We currently have a Brazilian rolling mill equipment that is for professional, not industrial use, and due to the demand for our products, we have exceeded the capacity of the equipment and has been damaged on several occasions, both the motor and the gears, by what we require to buy the industrial equipment according to the demand.

Our plan consists of acquiring the appropriate industrial equipment for the large-scale production of our masses, and thus be able to serve the current customers who depend on our work and be able to reach more families interested in being able to open their food store with our products

Funds usage

Currently I want to buy a professional laminator, which costs 1500 dollars and would allow me to meet the women who are breadwinners and have their business and depend on the merchandise to take them to serve their customers,

there are 8 businesses that are waiting for me to open and continue to provide reliably to the 120 weekly clients who on average purchase my product
