Hello everyone,

The history of the construction of the Pastaza Women's House of the Women's Political Coordinator.

La Casa de Mujer is an initiative of civil society organizations, leaders and human rights activists in Pastaza, one of the largest provinces in the Amazon region of Ecuador. The team is made up of women of ethnic diversity, all committed to the well-being and protection of women in the province.

Pastaza is home to a rich diversity of indigenous cultures and ethnicities, but it is also a place where women face significant challenges, including gender-based violence.

The central problem that this project seeks to solve is gender-based violence that affects women in the region. The Pastaza Women's House aims to provide a safe space for the prevention and eradication of this violence. In addition, it aspires to be a refuge for women who need protection and support.

Financial and resource support is needed to build and maintain this house. Funding is crucial to provide counseling services, legal assistance, psychological care and educational programs. Additionally, the support will help create a safe and welcoming environment for women seeking refuge.

Funds are needed as soon as possible to begin construction and commissioning of the house. The urgency is due to the growing need for services and support for women affected by violence in the region.

This project represents an important step towards creating a safer and more empowering environment for women in the Ecuadorian Amazon.
