Relief Vouchers for the COVID-19 2020 National Lockdown - South Africa

Greetings,

My name is Salome Rakgole from Alexandra township Johannesburg, South Africa. I am a 33 year old, mother, wife and work as a freelance at times volunteer in creative arts especially when it comes to my natural care in social interaction with kids from toddler to teenagers. Sharing educational information of platforms in areas of arts and recently sports.

I truly believe that cultural and social engagement is important in opening up possibilities for a society of people who are open minded.

Corona virus pandemic devastated low income families

I write to you with disturbance in this current time of the global pandemic: Corona virus. It is a reality for most of us on how devastating it is to our society due to the lack of and even zero income in different homes.

My community is surrounded by development and growth. However, the reality is most people are unable to provide or fend for their families. And in this pandemic time, I could say that none could provide for their families due to our location settings which the livelihood based on hand to mouth is our normal livelihood. For many who have income, it means they have been cut substantially.

I spend most days helping where I can and where possible with some of the children in my community with arts and cultural integration and activities and wish to empower those who are within reach.

Help me to support my community in this difficult times

My plea is to gather enough funds to provide at least 30 homes with food vouchers to help needy families with shopping vouchers for basic foods to last at least a month, this will save lives.

My desire is to assist with R300 or $25 USD food vouchers for at least 40 people in need.

I always think we should be civilized and civilization is helping one another were possible.
