RAISING FUNDS TOWARDS RAMADHAN IFTAR FOR THE POOR AND NEEDY

Asalaamaleikum warahumaturahi Wabarakatu.

My name is Lairati from Uganda and I greet you all in the name of Allah, most Merciful, Bestower of Mercy.

All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the world, I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad (PBUH) is His servant and messager.

Dear brothers and sisters, as we are aware, Ramadhan is coming soon in March insha'Allah and as a way of supporting the poor and needy, we mobilize and raise funds from relatives, well-wishers, donors, friends who are far and near among others to enable us to reach Ramadhan IFTAR to the poor and needy.

Prophet Muhammad PBUH, is reported to have said,

"Whoever feeds a fasting person will earn the same reward without diminishing in anyway the reward of the fasting person"

Respected Servants of Allah, I appeal to each one of you to join the campaign of raising USD 1500 to enable us reach the poor and needy with IFTAR in Holy month of RAMADHAN Insha'Allah.

In his first speech while in Madina, prophet Muhammad PBUH said,

" O people, spread greetings of salam (peace), feed people, support the ties of kinship and pray at night when people have fallen asleep and you will enter paradise in peace.

Respected Servants of Allah, donating food is a key aspect of Islam and feeding the hungry and needy is considered a noble and great deed.

It's only you who can make this noble cause a success Insha'Allah.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is also reported to have said,

The believer's shade on the day of resurrection will be his or her charity/sadaqah.

I call upon all believers both Muslims and non Muslims to embrace this campaign of raising funds to provide IFTAR to the Muslims in the Holy month of RAMADHAN Insha'Allah.
