Please help us to extend the life of our Dad

Dear everyone,

This is Wims, from Philippines. This project is for my father.

Dad has been through a lot and still fighting

As of this writing, April 17, 2020 11:52 PM (Philippines EST), he's under monitoring in ICU for 9 days now. This is due to complications of his heart problem and operation. His blood pressure keeps dropping and he also has pneumonia. He doesn't have any health insurance and his stay at Intensive Care Unit is P20,000 ($400) per day. There are four doctors who are taking care of him and the cost of his antibiotics are expensive that the family is thinking of moving him to Public/Govt Hospital. But due to the numbers of COVID-19 patients admitted the idea is not possible.

February 2020, he underwent a triple bypass heart surgery and two valve replacement. By God's grace, after 9 hours of operation, it went well. The cost was overwhelming but the love and support from family and friends helped us a lot to check him out of the Heart Center Hospital, Philippines.

He also survives the operation though he only had 26% of chances to see another day.

There are more challenges ahead

We are very optimistic and full of faith that after the operation he will get better. However, on his way to recovery, his heart still doesn't function that much. Same problem occurs. His lungs are being filled with water though he has diuretics. Thus, cannot lay down to sleep and experiencing difficulty of breathing.

We refuse to give up as his prayers is still to be with his family, with us. He wants to continue so we do not dare to give up though exhaustion is kicking in mentally, physically and financially.
