We want to help our father get a heart surgery

Greetings everyone,

My name is Donna Mae Cruz, and I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea for assistance for my father, Romulo Cruz, who is currently facing a critical health situation.

Recently, my father was diagnosed with Acute Coronary Syndrome and diabetes. Immediate coronary artery bypass surgery is required to avoid potential heart attacks and complications Currently residing in Quirino Hill, Baguio City, he is still in the process of recovering from his previous admission.

My mother is a housewife, and their primary source of funds is my father's pension. I, the youngest daughter, am a working mom supporting my three children, while my eldest sister is a housewife and other sister is also managing households as single parent. The last one is currently hospitalized because of thyroid difficulties.

This challenging journey began with my father's first hospitalization on October 31, 2023. Financially, our family has not fully rebounded from that ordeal, and unfortunately, he was hospitalized again on December 14 of last year, narrowly escaping a life-threatening situation. Discharged on January 6, he is now preparing for the crucial Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) surgery. Managing diabetes with insulin and taking medications for his heart and kidney conditions, my father does not have HMO coverage, and our government healthcare benefits can only extend so far.

In this trying time, my family and I sincerely appeal for any amount that can contribute to my father's surgery. Despite reaching out to government agencies and charitable institutions, we are still in need of additional support. Your assistance, no matter how small, will make a significant impact on my father's recovery and our family's financial stability.
