Fighting HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis in Benue State

In Benue State, Nigeria, the grip of HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B and C tightens its hold on our community. Lives and families are shattered by these relentless infections, fueled by ignorance and lack of access to vital information.

Statistics for Benue State: HIV/AIDS: The National Agency for the Control of AIDS, NACA, disclosed that the prevalence rate of HIV/AIDS in Benue state has dropped from 12.9 to 4.7 per cent.

Hepatitis B and C: The prevalence of Hepatitis B and C in Benue State is also concerning, with an estimated 7.6% of the population infected.

My mission is clear: To arm our community with knowledge and resilience. Through a week-long seminar conducted in their native language, we will shine a light on the causes, symptoms, and prevention of these diseases. But I cannot do it alone.
