Duke suffers from cervical disc herniation (C4-C5)

Hello everyone,

My name is Duke and I am a 7 year old dachshund but everyone calls me Dukecito, right now I am suffering from a lot of pain and losing the mobility of my right body, I started to stop eating, walking, I was hunched over and lost my balance to walk. My mother took me to the vet on January 31, 2024, which was the day after all my symptoms, at the hospital they took an x-ray and apparently everything looked good in my spine, they gave me treatment for 7 days but it didn't work, the pain continued So they immediately referred me to the hospital's veterinary specialist and the neurologist prescribed a cervical MRI since when the reflex diagnosis was made my neck hurt severely.

On February 2, 2024, my mother had already spent $9,000.00 MXN for consultations and medicines plus the MRI of $7,500.00 MXN.

On February 8, they performed an MRI and diagnosed me with a herniated cervical disc (C4-C5), which is pressing on my bone marrow on the right side, leaving my extremities immobile.

My surgery is the only remedy I have to be a happy little dog like before without pain and to be able to recover the mobility of my body but its cost is $19,059.00 MXN and I have seen my mother and my family suffer due to lack of economic resources, they have not helped me. I was able to operate soon, I know that they are doing everything possible with their means but if they can donate something for my care and treatment I will be eternally grateful.

Duke sufre de hernia discal cervical (C4-C5)

Hola a todos,

Mi nombre es Duke y soy un dachshund 7 años pero todo mundo me dice Dukecito, en estos momentos estoy sufriendo de mucho dolor y perdiendo la mobilidad de mi cuerpo derecho, comencé a dejar de comer, de caminar, me encorvaba y perdí el equilibrio para caminar.

Mi mamá me llevo al veterinario el 31 de Enero del 2024 qué fue al día siguiente de todos mis síntomas, en el hospital me tomaron radiografía y al parecer todo se veía bien en mi columna me dieron tratamiento para 7 días pero no funcionó los dolores seguían así que me remitieron inmediato al especialista veterinario del hospital y el neurólogo me recetó una resonancia magnética de cervicales ya qué al hacerme el diagnóstico de reflejos me dolía el cuello fuertemente.

El dia 2 de febrero del 2024 mi mamá ya llevaba gastado $9,000.00 MXN de consultas y medicinas más la resonancia magnética de $7,500.00 MXN.

El 8 de febrero me realizaron la resonancia y me diagnosticaron qué tengo hernia discal cervical (C4-C5) qué esta oprimiendo mi médula osea del lado derecho dejando inmobil mis extremidades.

Mi cirugía es el único remedio qué tengo para poder ser un perrito feliz como antes sin dolor y poder recuperar la mobilidad de mi cuerpo pero su costo es de $19,059.00 MXN e visto sufrir a mi mamá y mi familia por falta de recurso económico no me han podido operar pronto, se que ellos están haciendo todo lo posible con sus medios pero si pueden donar algo para mi cuidado y tratamiento estaré eternamente agradecido.
