Identity VerifiedHello everyone,
We are NGO Elíseos, an organization founded in 2016 in Valparaíso, Chile and we want to be an integral part of the community, which is why we have partnered with the youth work group of the Medalla Milagrosa parish of Cerro Playa Ancha, to support their activities and, specifically, the Summer Colonies.
In current times, boys and girls in the world are more connected to digital devices and, in many cases, families do not have the opportunities either. to give them fun vacations that allow them to share with their peers, which is why the Summer Colonies were born in 2023, having, so far, two versions.
In 2024 the increase in boys and girls who participated It almost tripled compared to the number in 2023, while in the first version 13 children were enrolled, in 2024 the number reached 34. This drastically increased the costs of the project.
During camps it is delivered breakfast and lunch completely free of charge and all transfers to activities outside the place where the camps are held.
The team works completely voluntarily, donating their time to deliver this week of activities to the students. boys and girls who participate.
The activity welcomes boys and girls between 5 and 13 years old, with the only requirement that they be able to go to the bathroom alone and families do not have to pay any type of fee. registration.
The team is formed from the age of 14 onwards, this year we had a girl and a boy who in 2023 had lived this experience and were now part of the team. All adults go through a requirements check to ensure that they meet the legal requirements for working with minors.
The activities carried out are also managed by the team.
The next summer camps will be held in February 2025 and we want to receive all the boys and girls who register, so these funds will go to cover the main expenses of this project:
- Food: Breakfast, lunch and we want to add a snack in the afternoon.
- Mobilization to activities outside the venue.
- Materials for the activities.
