Help raise money for my mother’s medical needs

Hello everyone,

My name is Kristine Janin Mendoza from the city of Golden Friendship Cagayan de oro city Philippines 9000

a loving daughter of Jacinta Mendoza who was recently diagnosed with cancer. This is actually my first time doing this but a friend told me it might be worth a try. So here goes.

Why am I doing this and how important is this to me?

As a matter of fact this situation not just for me but for my whole family seems to be life and death. Trying to be strong and keeping things to myself has been hard and depressing enough.

Everyday i enter the hospital i always try to put out my brave face act, but honestly i feel like crying inside every time. I am the eldest among three and am currently working at a bank although all of us are professionals I’m the only one with stable income as of the moment.

We went through some difficulties

My mom is a widower since my dad passed away not too long ago and so back then I thought it was the most painful thing we had to go through up until now with my mom's current situation.

Just to give you an idea on what kind of person my mom is, for me and to all the people that know her she is nothing but a brave soul, never once in her struggles in raising us had she put a pressure on us. Also she was someone not fond of taking anything synthetic and prefers to do natural remedies, she tries to eat healthy and exercise regularly, she also has high pain tolerance, so i imagined how hard it was for her to feel the signs and symptoms and struggled to overcome it.

Before she was diagnosed with cancer, it was actually her first time to go through a medical check up since she has always been afraid of needles.

So from this experience I realized that no matter how hard we try to be fit and healthy somehow life will always find a way to catch up with us, i could never imagine that my mom at the age of 56 has to go through all this struggle.

Usage of the funds

This event has actually hit me hard not just emotionally, physically but especially financially just imagining all the laboratory test, the room charges the daily medicines, not to mention the doctors fee for the operation and the after care makes me feel sick and weak as well, trying to force myself to come up with ideas on how to keep up with the bills.

I know that with this pandemic going around that it had put us in a really tight financial situation, still i do hope for your kind understanding and less judgement and to not blame me for trying to save and extend my mom's life.
