Luchi's Fight for Malignant Germ Cell Tumor

My daughter gave her best to fighting his cancer

Come on Luchi you can beat this! Here is a brief history of my daughter's battle for cancer.

Luchie Cathiana is a 2 year old energetic, happy, hyperactive and courageous little girl.

On February 2019th our life was forever changed when she was diagnosed with MIXED MALIGNANT GERM CELL TUMOR located on her sacrum.

Some treatment and chemotherapy need to be done

The doctor suggested she should undergo an iv port placement and chemotherapy right after the operation. But due to our financial constraint, we couldn't afford an iv port so she underwent chemotherapy without it.

She finished 6 rounds of BEP (cisplatin, bleomycin and etoposide). But upon her 7th chest-abdominal CT scan the tumor doubled in size and her tumor markers rose up.

Luchie underwent another round of chemotherapy for progressive tumor now with TIP (paclitaxil, carboplatin and ifosfamide) a more intensive chemotherapy with co-management of nephrologist for her kidney functions and urologist for her neurogenic bladder.

Unfortunately after her 2nd cycle her tumor markers rose up again so her doctor changed carboplatin to cisplatin and increased the dosage of her other meds.

Now she just finished her 4th cycle and CT scan for re evaluation. We're just waiting for the result of the CT scan as of this writing. They need to shrink the tumor first before an operation could take place so that they could excise the tumor completely to prevent it from coming back without damaging any vital nerves.

Our little fighter needs all your financial help and prayers for her upcoming operation (would be her 4th surgical operation).

We have been having a hard time and keep on breaking down. None of this is remotely fair. But life has never been fair or easy.

This is hard and none of this is ever what we expected our journey to be.

My daughter is an amazing little girl. Keep climbing this mountain baby and mama and papa is always behind to catch you. We love you to bits, you are a blessing , you are something special and your journey isn't finished just yet.
