An Agriculture Community need Your Help

Hello!

My name is Lizelle, I am an Afrikaans nature child from sunny South Africa.

Our dream, our visions

We are a group of like-minded people with a beautiful vision as a regenerative community. Our dream through permaculture is to convert land into a self-sustaining farm, growing and supplying fresh fruit, veggies, herbs and honey to the local community and by this sustain our livelihood.

We want to leave the city life and be self-sustaining farmers. Between the members we have the skill, knowledge but our finances are limited to get started.

We have a wide range of knowledge in natural building, horticulture, agricultural and engineering. We foresee an co-operate model. We are passionate to establish this way of life and need help in creating it.

Help us to obtain land in the Western Cape or Transkei.

We aspire to host people for workshops, music, dancing, living in nature, healing and loving.

There is 27.8ha land available in Caledon, Western Cape. This farm consists of a eucalyptus forest which is perfect for bee farming and for making firewood for extra income. Eucalyptus forest wood uses sustainable harvest methods, which means the forest remains sustained throughout. We have a member in our group who has experience in this specific method.

Another member of our group has adjacent land and says, “Like-minded co-investors keen to come build wooden cottages with the readily available wood, maybe set up some beehives and/or tap the gums for tinctures/oils etc. would be much welcomed and could potentially benefit from the infrastructure etc. I've already set up on my side, including shelter that may be used for temp lodging, and a super strong borehole. Also have a pretty thriving pig population procreating prolifically, some goats for milk when not feeding their recently born youngest, 2 jersey heifers I hope will produce more milk someday, a young ox and plenty of horses that can be trained to pull stuff etc.”

Alternative we could locate to rural Transkei, off the Wild Coast of South Africa. To obtain land here, we would have to personally speak to the tribes’ people. They are friendly folk who will offer land at a small cost and a gift of livestock.

Our Goal and Usage of the Funds

If you help us and contribute, you are invited to our farm, so you can experience where your investment is placed. We can eat organic food from our land, listen and talk, pick herbs, sit around a bonfire, wish upon a shooting star and explore the surrounding land.

The donated money would be transparently managed by an individual with investment experience chosen by all members within the collective and an accurate statement of account may be supplied on request at any time.

The collected money will be invested in cultivating the land into a self-sustaining farm that will feed the community and be a sanctuary for a group of peaceful, nature loving souls - we yearn to be there, so please help us :)

Help us realize our dream

If we are able to collect enough funds, we will build wooden cottages with the readily available wood, set up some beehives and tap the gum trees for tinctures and oils. Our dream through permaculture is to convert land into a self-sustaining farm, growing and supplying fresh fruit, veggies, herbs and honey to the local community and by this sustain our livelihood.
