I want to give my dad an opportunity to speak again

Hello! My name is Katya, I am 30 years old, I am from Ukraine.

In December 2019, my father was diagnosed with throat cancer (stage 3).

He was prescribed a course of radiation, which lasted two months, after which he underwent a control examination and it was decided to add two courses of chemotherapy, but all this didn’t give a result.

The tumor did not respond to such treatment. Then the doctors said that the only way to save my father’s life is to completely remove the larynx and nearby lymph nodes. After such an operation, my dad will lose the ability to talk.

We agreed to such an operation because it was the only way to save my dad's life. Our family spent all the money on previous treatment and surgery to remove the larynx.

Now dad is in the hospital. Ahead of us is rehabilitation (dad must learn to breathe and swallow food on his own).

After that, there will be another operation to replace the larynx, but there is no money for it anymore...We need $1,500 for the voice prosthesis and the operation for its installation. We hope that you will help us to raise at least some of the necessary funds.

Therefore, I decided to appeal to all who care, to help us. My dad is only 52 years old and we believe that we can hear his voice again.
