I was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Cancer, however I have a wonderful husband and children who take care of me and despite the illness they make me happy, thank God.

I found a lump on the right side of my neck in early of this year

Those who know me and my family know that for more than four years we have come to this country to seek a better future, to work and move forward, it was difficult at first but we have been able to achieve something decent and stable. Throughout this time, we have gone through various experiences and emergencies that have been presented to us but we have been able to overcome them, however, when you least think about it, life gives you new tests to overcome

At the beginning of the year, I realized I had a lump on the right side of my neck, I started to feel bad, I sometimes had trouble eating, I woke up drowning, I felt pressure in my throat and I had trouble finding a comfortable way to sleep, this worried me but not to neglect work, one forgets health, a serious mistake.

I went to Cefan on March 2 near the department and the Dr. who attended me sent me to do some tests, echo sonograms and biopsy, together with making an appointment with a specialist, since that due to the size of the cyst or tumor, it was better for me to be attended by the person specialized in making these interventions, which is Head-Neck Surgery,

likewise he requested an internal consultation to be called from the corresponding San José Hospital For Fonasa, this to advance the corresponding procedures. The exams were expensive, approximately half a minimum salary but we were able to pay the same, both exams were carried out on March 11 at the Hospital Clinico Universitario here in Independencia and the result They delivered it in 11 to 13 business days for the result (March 26), fortunately that day I went with Jack my husband since the result was not pleasant:

Papillary Thyroid Cancer (Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma, Positive for Malignant Neoplastic Cells). Unfortunately, no one expects or is prepared to receive this news, but we did not rest easy and with the surgeon who treated us days later,

Dr Rodríguez Javier, we found out the cost of the operation, which unfortunately exceeds 4 million pesos (US $5,100) and being Fonasa only covers a little more than a million, in this case there is also the Ges or Auge, which the operation is paid or canceled by the State (it works for a kind waiting list) and since the Dra sent the interconsultation on March 2, I am waiting for an answer, I sent two complaints online to OIRS and Fonasa and I still have no answer.

But also due to the pandemic, the hospital that corresponds to me for said operation is The San José in Independencia, as I had already mentioned, which as we know and see the news, has collapsed due to the virus crown issue.

More than a week ago, the Dr. from Cefan called me informing that she had already obtained the appointment in the hospital for Tuesday 19-05, I went to the consultation and Dr. who attended me informed me that I had to wait another 45 working days for a new consultation, in case there is no longer a pandemic, I could see what position on the list I was in and thus see when they could possibly operate on me with the boom or ges.

I mean by this and that, I cannot wait that long, the tumor is approximately 6 cm, no We have the full money, but we know that granite by granite we can raise what is missing
