I need help to pay my son's treatment!

Nice to meet you! My name is Angela and I live in Guayaquil, Ecuador!

My son is suffering from an incurable disease, and I'm not being able to pay for his treatment. I need your help!

My son's disease

My 12 years old child has what is know as "Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency".

He was diagnosed when he was 2 years old. It's a genetic disease, and problems like hemolysis, anemia, hematuria, fever are really frequent.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to make disappear the disease.

We just can trust in medication, vitamin and suplements to control the symptoms and other problems like anemia. If anemia gets worse, a blood transfusion will be necessary.

We can't afford the treatment

My husband doesn't have a fixed schedule at work, so his salary can change very frequently.

I'm taking care of the house and the children and I don't have any income. I was working a while ago, but the company closed. Economy is not good in my country, and find a new job is a difficult thing to do.

In this situation we're running out of savings!

Without medication, I could loose my son

If my son doesn't receive a treatment his health is in danger because of a possible hemolysis.

It's not only the treatment, he has to go to the doctor for routine checks, but we haven't got medical insurance and we must pay for all of it.

Health system in my country is not good, as you can see.

I would like to raise $600 to at least be able to pay for my son's treatment during a few months. I will be really grateful for your help!

If I manage to get enough support, I will be able to pay my son's treatment.

In the meanwhile I will keep doing my best to find a job soon to be able to pay the treatment in the future. I hope that we could also get a good health insurance by then.

If everything is okay I will be able to provide my child with everything he needs to be healthy and happy!
