Pocket radios for rural children's classes

My name is Andrea Garcia Mera, from Colombia

I have a small organization that helps families with babies called Olivia Share Love. We have joined the Tejiendo Redes Foundation to support the education of boys and girls in the Colombian rural area.

Rebuild schools in rural areas of Colombia.

Tejiendo Redes Foundation has decided to rebuild schools in rural areas of Colombia.

Colombian peasant families continue to work during the confinement, ensuring that we all have food at our tables, this is the time to thank them for their tireless work

Boys and girls in the countryside cannot attend school either, the only way they have to receive classes is through the radio and guides that their teachers distribute periodically

Help the children there to get a proper education

The community we would like to help is Families with school-age children residing in the El Jordán village in Chaparral - Tolima, located in the Andean region of Colombia.

They do not have computers, tablets or internet access, that is why the best way to continue their education is through the radio.

Together with Tejiendo Redes I have managed to send reading books and activity books to the children of various schools in rural areas. My motivation is always to help those who need it, and at the moment those who need it most are these children who live in rural areas.

Help us to get pocket radio to delivering lessons

On this occasion, like some others, I joined Tejiendo Redes, to get portable radios so that children living in the Colombian countryside can access their classes via radio in times of confinement

The Olivia Comparte Amor foundation is in charge of the El Jordan sidewalk in Chaparral- Tolima, where we want to take 50 pocket radios with external speakers which have an approximate market value of 30 USD

It is our goal to buy all the radios and make the shipment to Tolima, in the best possible time, since the little ones urgently require them.

The delivery of these equipment will be made through the teachers in the area, who currently bring material in photocopies to the children. In the same way I am in contact with radio providers to achieve a better unit price and in this way reach more boys and girls, at the same time I am collecting school materials to deliver school kits to all children in the area.
