To bring kids to appreciate the outdoors away from handphone

My name is Terence. I'm from Malaysia and a father of one. Back in the day when I was a kid, I remember always being outdoors playing with other kids my age around the neighbourhood. There were no handphones or video games. I always wanted to be outside the house. It was also a more carefree time where you dont often hear news of abduction and such unlike now. With viral news spreading so fast like wild fire, it often makes me scared to leave my son outside alone. 

I like fishing and being outdoors close to nature. Recently my son took to fishing. The look on his face when he caught his 1st fish was pure delight. But like most 10 year old kids, then tend to get bored easily and take to the phone while waiting. So I decided to rent a boat at a lake to bring him fishing. It was his 1st time on a boat. He absolutely loved it.

 Kept wanting to paddle and move to different spots instead of just waiting at one spot on the side for fish. He never once mentioned he wanted to use his phone. 

The joy in his face that morning made me think there is still hope. This is the reason why I thought of getting a personal boat. But then found out the prices for aluminium boats are way too high. Even inflatable ones are expensive but with the Malaysian weather, inflatable boats are not viable. 

All hope was lost until I saw a post for plastic flat bottom boats and the price was reasonable. It had air in the body so it will always stay afloat. But it also came at a price where I cant really afford one. 

I knows it's kind of a selfish request but I would love to bring my son out fishing at other lakes around Malaysia. I'm not gonna ask for a full funding. Just half of the price. It cost around USD550. I'm saving up the other half and hopefully you can help me provide the other half of USD250.
