USD25k to open a safe house for victims of domestic abuse

My name is Kiruba n I run a little guesthouse tucked away in a tiny fishing village in Langkawi. I have used my guesthouse numerous times to hide victims of domestic abuse before we helped them to leave the island. This was done with personal money shared between a small group and with no cost to victims. This has become more difficult because of the pandemic, finances and a rise in numbers of domestic abuse. We take very high levels of safety and security as the home is located in front on a police station and clinic. 

Due to the pandemic the owner has decided to sell the house that we currently use for the value of USD 25k to us. We wish to buy the home to be converted into a safe shelter as well as to conduct FREE workshops such as stitching, basic jewelry making, art, martial arts, childcare/dayschool etc. Victims will learn not only a skill but also confidence building to help them with their new life.  A section of the home will still run as a guesthouse to sustain the shelter. Not only will these skills help victims to build a business and gain financial independence but also helps with their self confidence. 

Please help us come up with the USD 25k so it saves us a tonne on funding as we will not have to pay rent and can channel our funds into helping these victims to build their their lives back. Children of victims will also be housed together and with no cost for meals and beds.

As a previous victim of abuse I was glad that I had the help and strength to leave my previous abusive partner. I have been helping survivors for the past 3years that my guesthouse is running. No human should ever be hurt and belittled especially by someone they trust. Building confidence and inner strength will be a key to the road of recovery for these survivors!
