Creating a community friendly affordable clothing line

My name is Jev. I'm 34 years old. I have a sustainable business idea that I want to share with you.

My partner runs a successful clothing line out of Indonesia, the INDVDL brand.

Sustainable Clothing Ideas

Me and my partner want to launch a sustainable clothing line. This is a clothing line that would be done by the community, for the community. A percentage of sales from this line will also be donated in support of individual designers and fabric merchants to enable a sustainable business ecosystem.

Designers will be engaged from local community schools and colleges in the ASEAN region, thereby creating sustainable job opportunities for various facets of the community.

This clothing line will utilize sustainable materials and utilize labor that is child free and supports local communities.

These sustainable product will be supported by customers because they leave 0 carbon footprint and are priced smartly.

Plan and Budget

We currently have a team of 5 to run operations and they comprise of art designers and fabric sourcing staffs.

This is a T-Shirt that we made for INDVDL brand, Indonesia. My partner's brand. On to this T-Shirt, we can print artworks by local designers.

Overall budget we need to start this business is $3,500 USD. Since we are raising $1,500 USD here, we will be supporting this project with our own equity, probably back the project with additional $2,000 USD

Any amount collected will be for (1) initial sourcing of environmentally friendly fabric and materials, (2) pay the design costs and print the design of casual daily apparel, (3) source for sustainable packaging material (will use 0 plastic). And this project will begin with sales in Indonesia and Malaysia. Marketing costs will be minimal as we market through Instagram.

We have an existing clothing line to continue, to support this initiative. But it would be more meaningful if this project could be a community funded project.

Therefore, any amount support is so valuable for us. Let's bring to life this idea of a sustainable and community supporting business that leverages e-commerce to fulfill its value proposition.
