Hello! My name is Malique Ammar and I'm 13 years old. Currently, I am a high school student at the Penang Free School. On April 19 & 20, I represented my school in the junior team at the 2019 World Scholar's Cup.
From over 500 participants, I scored first place in the debate for special area, and ranked top 25 in the subjects of arts, history and literature. The next round for the World Scholar’s Cup is the global round will be held in Beijing, China from June 21-26, 2019. My school unfortunately does not have enough funds to cover all teams thus they’re giving priority to the senior team and the junior team has to raise funds themselves. I want to represent my school and my country at this competition because this will be my first international competition representing Malaysia.
As a Malaysian, I am very proud of our diversity and culture. I would like to share with other international participants what it means to be a Malaysian and how we live together harmoniously. Being a Muslim in Malaysia means that I have close friends who are from other faiths, like Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh, Christians and others. We can live together and uplift each other to create a better, brighter future for us all. In order to participate in the global round, I need to raise the funds cover the registration fee, flight tickets, lodging, ground expenses, and meals.
Please help me get to the 2019 World Scholar’s Cup tournament in Beijing.
I would be happy if you could use the [Help by sharing] button to share about my project!
