Help Amy

Hello Everyone !

Please allow me to share with you the story of my adopted dog, a terrier I named Amy.

Amy is part of my family

I adopted a very sick terrier from the shelter about 2 years ago. It's my dog, Amy. Even though she is just a dog, but she is a family to me.

She has been suffering from a disease, her vet diagnosed that she has seizure attacks,

She started showing symptoms the moment I took her home, the vet told me that there is no medicine to stop the seizure as it will stay with her for the rest of her life.

Amy was diagnosed with seizure attacks

At the rate of her virus distemper's condition, it was suspected that she had been sick for quite sometime and I was advised to put her down as it was feared that her brain had been attacked by the virus hence she had been shaking, unable to eat and drink as well as unable to stand. Her blood test result showed that she had very little blood in her body as well. I refused to let her go.

As the clinic was unable to ward her, I took her home and stayed with her round the clock. Every morning, we would stop by at the clinic to fix the water on her as well getting some injections as she refused to let her head touched and refused to take the pills.

Lifetime treatment is necessary

we usually went to the clinic afterwards as I had to work. Every time the water got stuck, unmoving, I would drive to the clinic to get it fixed.

Now that the virus distemper was tested negative on her, she has started to have seizures until today.

The first seizures attack was all night long and continue on the next morning. She was having a seizure while I was driving from home to the clinic at the nearest town which took me 30 minutes drive.

As she refused to let her head touched and very picky on her wet food especially when she smelled a medicine on it, the only option to treat her was by injection which is until today.

The funds fill be used for amy's treatment every week

The only way to help her by giving her medical treatments to slow down the seizure in order to avoid brain damage.

Sometimes she can get seizures attack twice a day and 2 days in a row.

I send her to be warded every now and then for monitoring and medical treatment when the seizures attacks happen very frequently.

She will be warded for 1 week every time I send her over to the clinic.

I have been paying for her medical bills from my little salary since the past 2 years and I am now running out of savings to continue on with her medical treatment :(
